The NELA Opportunity
Librarians look for uncommon books to meet their patrons' needs and consequently favor small presses. And NELA is the one show where you'll find the most New England librarians, staff, and trustees gathered together in one place. They also show an interest in books from New England authors and publishers, as well as other connections to our region.
You don't have to be an IPNE member to exhibit your books with IPNE at NELA, however members do receive reduced exhibit rates.
- Members = $55 per book;
- Non-Members = $80 per book.
If you are not already an IPNE member, learn more on our "Join Now" page. (You must do this first before receiving the discounted member rate for NELA.)
Be included in the IPNE catalog that lists information about each book exhibited including ordering information, and organized by genre, and full contact information for exhibiting publishers.
WHY EXHIBIT AT NELA IN 2012
(New England Library Association Annual Conference)
- Meet many new prospects from all six New England states. Last year more 600 attendees were at the show, of which about 65% work in public libraries, 25% in academic libraries, and 10% are in other categories.
- Talk to buyers. 86% of NELA attendees control buying or influence purchasing decisions. Nearly half are final decision-makers.
- Find new customers who do not attend national conferences. 56% have never been to ALA and 42% have not attended PLA. Enjoy a sensible show schedule with nearly half of show hours as exclusive exhibit time (with no competing educational sessions), and all refreshments served in the hall .
