Helen M. Waters is a primarily self-taught artist and illustrator, currently living in Newton, MA. She started drawing early and always enjoyed it. Her mother could keep her quiet by giving her a roll of butcher paper and crayons, which could occupy her for hours. Her preferred medium is colored pencil, and preferred subject matter is whatever will make people smile. She published her first book, "A Story About Sprout," in 2019.
